Robert Zarazowski

Senior Director

As Senior Director of WRDS, Robert Zarazowski directs the development of WRDS research content, technology, and business strategy. In previous positions at Wharton, Robert managed the School’s data services, created intranet applications and oversaw the School’s large-scale technology infrastructure.

Before joining Wharton, Robert was Program Manager for Financial Systems at Carnegie Mellon University where he directed the development of enterprise-wide financial applications. He holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Administration (MBA) from Carnegie Mellon University and Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.

Paul Ratnaraj
Director of Advanced Initiatives

Paul is the creator & founder of WRDS and the Director of Advanced Initiatives. He oversees the corporate initiative, marketing and business development.

Robin Gold
Director of Marketing & Business Development

Robin Nussbaum Gold is the Director of Marketing and Business Development for Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS). Prior to joining Wharton in 2002, Robin began her career in New York City in the marketing, advertising, and television production arena. Robin’s background includes Account Management, Marketing, and Production positions with WNBC-TV, Viacom, Lehman Brothers, Russek Advertising, and Jumbo Pictures (division of the Walt Disney Company).

Jamie Stewart
Director of Sales

Jamie Stewart is the Director of Sales for Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS).  He has significant experience working with a diverse and sophisticated clientele marketing client solutions and technology.  Jamie has over 15 years of experience on Wall Street in a variety of roles with firms such as Morgan Stanley, SIG, Raymond James, and Cowen Group.  Jamie holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Economics from Drexel University.

Mireia Gine
Director of International Initiatives

Mireia joined WRDS in 2003 as part of the Research Support group and has helped expand WRDS services internationally. Prior to joining WRDS she was a visiting scholar at MIT and at the University of Pennsylvania and a lecturer at the Universidad de Barcelona, Spain. Mireia holds a PhD. from the Universidad de Barcelona and Master in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University, Spain. Mireia’s area of expertise is Corporate Finance with a focus on governance issues.

Nicholle McNiece
Associate Director

Nicholle McNiece joined Wharton and the WRDS Marketing Team in 2006. With the expansion of WRDS into the corporate arena, Nicholle transitioned her responsibilities from academia into the development of corporate clientele. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music (London), Nicholle has performed internationally from Covent Garden to Her Majesty’s Theatre to the Kimmel Center, and managed her own vocal studio in Tokyo, Japan. Nicholle has blended her musical career with marketing, finance and administration “roles” both in Australia and England with companies including Quillion Ltd, A.T. Cross (UK) Ltd, and the City of Ballarat.

Pamela Carr
Financial Administrative Coordinator

Pam is responsible for processing the billing and account reconciliation for WRDS. She is also a Philadelphia native. Pam loves living in the city of Philadelphia because of its rich history and the wonderful campus that exist within the city. She is currently completing her BA in Humanities at the college of Professional and Liberal studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Pam is known her pleasant demeanor and result driven work ethic. Pamela is a graduate of the Wharton School, majoring in Business Administration.

Stephanie Schneider
Senior Account Executive

Stephanie is responsible for developing deeper customer relationships with WRDS subscribers while delivering the highest quality of service and introducing new products to WRDS subscribers. Stephanie offers diverse experience in sales, marketing strategy, brand development, website and application development, public relations, social media and analytics. She has solid experience managing diverse marketing projects for healthcare, university, retail and not for profit clients. With a passion for networking, Stephanie enjoys building and maintaining outstanding client relationships at WRDS. Stephanie has a Bachelor of the Arts and Communications from Temple University.

Keith Zluky
Marketing Coordinator

Keith Zluky is the Marketing Coordinator at WRDS, responsible for new business development and marketing initiatives including; conferences, collateral, subscriber relations and our Customer Relationship Management system. Prior to joining WRDS in 2009, Keith worked in direct marketing and advertising sales. Keith received his B.S.B.A. in Marketing from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 2004 and is currently pursuing a Finance & Accounting Certificate from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Robert Coble
Marketing Associate

Robert Coble is a Marketing Associate at WRDS, responsible for creating various marketing & branding materials. He joined WRDS in 2010 after previously working as the Marketing Director for a fashion company. Robert has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Drexel University’s Lebow College of Business and is currently pursuing his MFA.

Charles Rejonis
IT Director

Charles Rejonis recently became an IT Director at the Wharton Research Data Services group, overseeing technical operations. Prior to that, Charles was co-director of The Alfred West Learning Lab. Wharton’s Learning Lab explores innovative ways of presenting business education using competitive games and simulations. Over the past eight years at Wharton, Charles has helped create over 30 different learning experiences for students, including OTIS, Wharton’s commercially available Online Trading and Investment Simulator. Charles holds degrees from Simon’s Rock College, the University of Massachusetts, and Stanford University.

Matt Cohen
IT Director

Matthew Cohen is responsible for managing the 100+ databases on the WRDS platform. He has been with WRDS since 2005 and previously worked on the Consumer Price Index at the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Matthew received his B.S. in Decision & Information Systems from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland in 2002, and graduated from Wharton’s Executive Education program in 2007.

James Coulter
Senior Data Analyst

BBA, Management Information Systems, University of Notre Dame

James Coulter is responsible for performing updates, validation, and ETL procedures on several databases on the WRDS platform. James joined WRDS in 2010 after previously working as a data consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he served clients including the U.S. Treasury, Department of Homeland Security, and several Fortune 500 companies. Jim received his B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame in 2005.

Ted Donohue
Senior Data Analyst

Ted has been with Wharton for 5 years. Prior to that, he worked for the Association of American Medical Colleges, the George Washington University, and Litton PRC.

Mark Keintz
Senior Data Analyst

After over a decade as director of research computing for the demography group at the University of Pennsylvania, Mark joined WRDS in 2001. Mark has been a research “enabler” for several years, having served on NIH grant review panels for small business innovation and as a research computing consultant on numerous projects. Mark’s current interests are in efficient use of large data sets and integrating new technologies into the research process.

Russ Ney
IT Director

Russ and his team manage the infrastructure, systems and storage needs for the global WRDS community. Russ has been instrumental in designing and implementing systems for WRDS since 1998. Russ is currently leading the WRDS grid computing effort to ensure future scalability of the WRDS client base. Russ is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, and the University of Pennsylvania.

Todd Seidelmann
Systems Programmer

Todd is a systems programmer at WRDS who enjoys development and application of new systems technologies, as well as occasionally breaking existing ones. Todd joined the WRDS team in July 2010 and has loved every minute of it since.

Tim Allen
IT Director

Timothy Allen joined Wharton Research Data Services in 2008, after spending many years working with web and database technology companies in the Philadelphia area. Having started programming at age six, Tim’s technology passions have grown to include running local technology events in the Philadelphia area, virtual worlds and environments, and TiVo hacking. Tim is a life-long Philadelphia resident, having graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996.

Matt Spalding
IT Project Leader

Matthew is your typical computer geek, fluent in several (programming) languages, and a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan. He has tried to experience as broad a range of things in life as his limited finances afford, from helping run a start-up dot-com company to living in South Korea for four years. He got his Bachelor’s in Computer Science at Penn, studied Theology at Torch Trinity Seminary in Seoul, and is currently getting his Masters in Husbanding with a concentration in Fatherhood from his wife and two children.

Beverley Coulson
Director

Beverley Coulson is the director of User Experience for Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS). As the director of user experience, Beverley and her team are the key user experience advocates and evangelists for WRDS. With twenty years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, she brings a wide range of expertise and leadership to the group.

Maria Sciarrino
IT Project Leader

Maria brings to the WRDS team over a decade’s worth of experience in creating engaging content for print, broadcast, and online outlets in the arts & culture field. Her music criticism and photojournalism have appeared on Pitchfork.com and in SPIN Magazine. As a graphic designer and web developer, Maria has designed creative packaging and websites for many organizations, and also hosts a weekly program on the independent radio station WPRB 103.3 FM (Princeton, NJ). Additionally; she has over 5 years of full-time professional experience in project management and higher education administration. Prior to joining Wharton, she was a web developer at Temple University.

Luis Palacios
Director

Luis holds a PhD in Economics from Cornell University and bachelor degree in economics from Universidad del Pacifico (Lima-Peru). He has been working for WRDS since 2002. His area of expertise and interest are on procedures for portfolio construction, mutual funds and equity options. Before joining to WRDS, Luis was a principal in the Central Bank of Peru. Rui Dai
Research Support Director

Rui’s research interests are short selling, options, hedge funds, mergers and acquisitions, and financial reporting. He has passed all three levels of the CFA Program on his first attempt within two years. His papers were presented in several national and international conferences such as New York Fed/NYU Stern Conference on Financial Intermediation, Eastern Finance Association, Financial Management Association, and Northern Finance Association meetings. Rui received his PhD and MA in Economics and DBA in Computer Science and Economics with distinction from the York University.  Rui’s scholarly research papers can be found on SSRN.

Rabih Moussawi
Research Support Director

Rabih’s research interests are institutional investors, hedge funds, quantitative investment, financial reporting, and corporate governance. His work is published in specialized finance journals and featured in mainstream newspapers including the Wall Street Journal and New York Times. His papers were presented in several national and international conferences such as American Finance Association, Western Finance Association, Financial Management Association, and European Finance Association meetings. Before WRDS, Rabih was a researcher at Barclays Global Investors (now BlackRock), and he taught corporate finance at the University of Texas at Dallas. Rabih conducts specialized empirical finance tutorials on research and data issues for academics and professionals in many forums in the U.S. and abroad. Rabih presented on effective methods to link databases and is currently developing a WRDS research platform for SEC filings. Rabih received his PhD in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas, and his MBA and BA in Economics, with distinction, from the American University of Beirut. Denys Glushkov
Research Support Director

Denys Glushkov is a Research Director at WRDS. Before joining WRDS, he received his PhD in Finance at the University of Texas at Austin and MA in Economics at Central European University (Hungary)and previously worked as a Quantitative Equity Researcher at Barclays Global Investors (presently, Blackrock). His research interests include empirical investments and market anomalies, behavioral finance, and institutional investor behavior. He presented his work at both academic and industry forums including Financial Management Association, EFA, JBFA Capital Markets Conference, INQUIRE-UK and others, and won a number of awards including Best Paper in Investments Analysis and Management (MFA, 2006), 2008 Moskowitz Prize for Best Paper in Socially Responsible Investing and 2009 Graham and Dodd Award of Excellent for an outstanding article in the Financial Analyst Journal.
